Definitely get on the virtual (Yelp) waitlist. This place is popular for breakfast and it's just far enough outside of St Louis (St Charles) that it's not 'city-fied'. If you're looking for a traditional No Frills breakfast from an almost endless menu, this is your place. The people are super friendly and the food is fast and cooked to order. Favorite part? They're so busy that they leave the coffee carafe on the table so you're not waiting for the next refill. By yourself? There's bar seating. Large family breakfast, there's a room for that as well. I was here with my better half, and I appreciated (without asking) being seated in an area that was quieter and away from small children. We're not frequent flyers through this area, but if you're in St Charles, MO in the morning, PLAN to eat here!

We were in the area for an early appointment, and we decided to have a late breakfast at Gingham's. The place was packed, so we were very surprised at how fast we were seated. The menu is extensive, and I've never had anything there I didn't like. This time I got a cinnamon roll, and I couldn't believe the size of it! It was almost the size of my plate, and they were very generous with the frosting. I probably could have stopped with half of it, but it was so delicious I ate the whole thing. It was the best cinnamon roll I've ever had! The service was very good, and we definitely felt taken care of. Can't wait to go back. This place is a local gem.

wonderful, great, phenomenal all across the board, my 24 hour go to!!!! food fresh and hot!!!! customer service great and phenomenal!!!

Gingham's has a warm and friendly atmosphere with seating, consisting of booths or 4-top tables. Before leaving for Gingham's, we went to the waitlist and signed in, which we were grateful for. There were 18 parties ahead of us with 2 large parties of 12 and 13. The waitlist cut down our wait greatly. I highly recommend the waitlist since they get very busy, but the waitlist moves quickly and managed well. We chose Gingham's today because I wanted something different from what I usually get. We love the breakfast menu with large portions and reasonably priced. The biscuits are large and fluffy, and as our niece said, " They were jelly worthy." You can't go wrong with the biscuits and gravy or omelets. The pancakes were large, and I was told they were good. Served with scrambled eggs and sausage links. I chose the soup of the day, Stuffed Pepper Soup, which was enjoyable, with a side of cornbread dressing with brown gravy and fried okra. The fried okra and cornbread dressing were tasty, and the fried okra surprisingly wasn't greasy. I said before we left home that I wanted something different, and I found it. The full menu is large and served all day. The chicken and dumpling soup was Soup of the Day and wasn't ready yet since it was only 9:30. I was told it isn't served till 11:00 a.m. so I couldn't get it on this trip. Next time, maybe. There is something for everyone, from breakfast items, sandwiches, and entrees. They offer a nice variety of sides, which was nice to see. Stop by the pie case next to the cashier. The pies look amazing with several types to select from chocolate, strawberry, and several others. Stop by if you're in the area.

Gingham's is a great go-to diner. Nice restaurant, tons of space, great service, and fantastic food. Tried: the classic with single chocolate chip pancake, the breakfast wrap Loved: the food was really good and my chocolate chip pancake was one of the best ones I have had - it was crispy and very chocolatey Our service was fantastic and quick. Liked: the Yelp waitlist option - easy to get onto especially as Gingham's is packed by 9am on a Sunday

Great place for comfort food. Don't let the line fool you they move people in and out. FYI fried chicken cooked to order 20 minute wait. Be aware of ordering ala cart prices are high. Very causal atmosphere. Not very loud

Easily one of St. Charles' classic go-to hot spots for fantastic home style cooking any time, day or night! The breakfast and brunch options are particularly incredible, especially the Irish eggs benedict; served over corned beef hash with bell peppers and the traditional poached eggs and hollandaise, a medley of absolute perfection. Dinner options are also divine, including the beef liver and onions, a tasty rare find for those who like it, best complemented with orange slices as garnish to add a unique and wonderful citrus freshness.

Absolutely loved my chicken fried steak and eggs, as well as the fried raviolis we tried as an appetizer. It was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures of the food, but the price was reasonable, and food delicious! I love how crispy the hash browns were!! If you're looking for a good breakfast spot, give this place a try. Our server was really nice, and the ambiance is family style restaurant casual.

My family and I visited here after church for the first time. We joined the waitlist before we arrived. It took around 45 mins. This is the First restaurant I have visited that has WHOLE catfish. It was seasoned to PERFECTION and just look at the CRISP on it. Beautiful, it was so delicious. This place reminds me of good southern down-home country eats. It's also VERY reasonable . Catfish and two sides were around 15.00. Y'all have to try this place. AMBIANCE was family oriented. The menu has something for everyone. Very large variety .

Gingham's Homestyle Restaurant is one of the only 24 hour spots in the Greater St. Louis area, and no matter where you are, it is definitely worth the drive! Some friends and I went for a midnight meal and were greeted with fast & kind service as well as an amazing ambiance complete with lots of fairy lights & a diner style feel. Even at midnight the restaurant was pretty full with groups of friends and families. We got breakfast & lunch items across the table, the food was a liiiiiittle greasy for my taste, but I think that's the "homestyle way". My blueberry pancakes not only came with blue berries inside but a delicious compote on the side, the hashbrowns were crispy & no crumbs were left behind!!
